ahh...bonjour...
it's been some time since i last updated my blog. Yea, i am in Malaysia right now; and the weather here is so hot. Finals are over, assignment submitted; and now just gotta wait for the result being announced on the 12 of June.
Been to Paris before i head home to Malaysia. Well, that was my first trip outside Uk. It would be a wonderful trip if Adol and CP did not got robbed on the first day. Anyway, Paris is a nice place to be in. Beautiful scenery, buildings and delicious foods of course.
Reached KL on the 28th May 2009. Once landed on the LCCT, my oh my...its so hot. But anyhow, i still prefer Malaysia. Headed home, got some rest and so on.
And i've started working in Jongkit Architect on Monday. Just 4 days of rest then am back to work for 3 months. Yea, i enjoyed working there. Lots of activities pending and i have not really plan my schedule yet.
Well, am tired now. so i'll stop now and will continue later. ciao

Hmm...Its Sunday again. I woke up late today; around 12. And i've been sleeping on the couch for few weeks now. I dont know why, but i just could get into sleep when i'm sleeping on the couch rather than sleeping on the bed. People called this 'jin guat tao'...haha..
Even its Sunday, i gotta work on my Design's detailing. Really bored lo....What to do? Finals are arriving.
Hmm...the weather here is getting better and better each day. Now i can just wear shorts going out...no need heavy clothing...but also need 2-3 layers of clothes..But doesnt need to put on scarf and so on...Cant wait for this month to be over, then i'll head to Glasgow then to Manchester and Liverpool...
Gotta continue my work.

Busy month

Winter has gone and here comes spring. Yea, and i love the weather...haha...no more winter blue..Been putting a side blogging as i dont have the mood to blog and i am very lazy to blog. haha..
This month will be a very busy month, as i need to finish 5 reports, design drawings....everything end of this month. Then i will be heading to Manchester and Liverpool during the easter holiday.yea...hope i could handle this month's stress...haha.
oh yea..last few days, i've tried on a few dishes which i learned from internet. Haha...it taste good and i am loving it. Didnt know i could cook so well...haha...i should cook for the family whne i am back to Malaysia.
At the moment i am doing the Urban' report. I'll be emphasizing on the Urban Heat Island topic. i almost got my structure model done...but i just leave it aside..wanna concentrate on this report now...

Happy Chinese New Year (Part 2)

Chinese New Year is approaching to the end of the celebration; and now i will post on how i celebrate my 1st day of CNY in Glasgow. As usual in Malaysia, me and my family will gather around the dining table in the morning to have our New Year Breakfast together, then will change into new clothes and wait for relatives to visit us. This year will be a little different for me, i woke up quite late, no new clothes, just had normal cereal breakfast.
Yea, i did join the CNY fun in Malaysia with my family through webcam and skype. i skyped home before they have their New Year breakfast. Then around 5am (UK time), my bro missed call me (thats the signal i asked him to give when all the relatives arrived). yea..and i skyped home again. It really feel so good seeing all my cousins and relatives gather around the computer and greeted me 'gong xi fa cai'. It's so noisy in my house, everyone was trying to tell me something..haha...i just laugh and smile there, and aunts are lining up to show me my red packet and i asked my mom to keep it for me.
Then at night, JBC help a massive Chinese New Year party. According to Pui Leng, around 117 persons attended. 6 houses were open for party. Lots of foods were served. Then after the party ends, we went back to our unit to have some card game. People who joined this game were Pui Leng, Chee Wei, Jeannie, Khei Choong, n me as well. Loser have to drink a cup of water. Rules no 1: cant go to toilet until the game ends. Haha...that was fun..yea..and thats how the 1st day of CNY ends.

This coming sunday, there will be a party in my house; celebrating CNY with my Aberdeen friends.

Happy Chinese New Year (Part 1)

It is the first time that i celebrate my Chinese New Year away from home. sob sob. Anyway, i had a great week celebrating it with my best friends here in Scotland. 2 days before Chinese New Year, i head down to Edinburgh to meet up with Pui Leng & Chee Wei. Here are some pictures we get to snap in Edinburgh.
We visited a few places in Edinburgh, for example; the castle, camera obscura, scottish parliament, holyrood palace, calton hill and the new town. For lunch, we head to Mussell Inn. Its quite worth it dining in Mussell Inn. 3 of us spent around £16 for 1 1/2 kilos of fresh mussells..yumm yummm.. Then i followed Leng & Wei back to their hostel in Glasgow at 7pm; and its tiring.
25th of Jan is the Chinese New Year eve; and i am in Glasgow celebrating with fellow friends from Straclyth University. We had 9 course meals for our reunion dinner, all prepared by them.
Well, its delicious for sure. Unfortunately, the Chinese New Year mood just not as good as Malaysia.haha..miss home..

-Braise Pork Belly-

Yea. Mom just gave me another recipe. So i just blog it down in case i forget it. From the title, u know whats the dish i am talking about. Its the braise pork belly. Mom said its a simple dish yet delicious; and very easy to prepare.
Ingredients :
1 kilos of pork belly, cut into cubes
3 garlics
5 big table spoon of sugar
7 big table spoon of soy sauce
some dark soy sauce (to make the color looks better)
Methods :
1) add some water into the pot, bring to boil. add in the pork belly for a minute or so and take it out. Just to eliminate the porky smell.
2) then make sure ur wok is dry ( no water and no oil). add in the sugar; using slow fire to melt it. when the sugar melted and turned to brown color, add in the soy sauce and dark soy sauce. and bring to boil.
3) add in the pork belly and stir fry it. then cover the wok for few minutes.
4) later on, stir fry it and add in garlics ( dont need to dice it. just throw in the whole garlic. but please remove the skin before >.<)
5) add 1/2 cup of water. bring to boil and cover the wok again (do check on it oftenly, as the gravy will be dry). Then when u notice its going to dry, add another 1/2 cup of water. then cover the wok again and leave it there until its ready.
The whole process from step 1 to 5 only takes 1 hour. i mean 1 hour and the dish wil be ready. Simple isn't it? i'll try it tonight, then i'll post up some pictures of it. my first attempt..haha..ok..getting ready to ASDA now.to buy the ingredients.

- 'SMIRNOFF', ice vodka mixed drink-

Yes, this the vodka am talking about. "SMIRNOFF" vodka with lemon taste. Yes, fell in love with it when i first had it in Ban Joon's niece 'full moon' party on last Sunday.
Yesterday, i saw this vodka drink displayed in the bar fridge when i am at work. Yea (evil thought)...Jonathan helped me to sneaked out a bottle when i am preparing to go home. haha...its not that we cant drink in the restaurant, at least, not so good la. Even the senior staff told me that i can drink anything after work; after work, anything also can.

Home alone? yea..am officially home alone now..haha..why??
As i mentioned in my earlier blog, my housemates (TC, Adol and CB) are heading to Spain for their one week holiday. They left the house at 5.30pm. Why i dont follow them? hmm..this question..first of all, i dont have much money to travel. Then, i really dont have that mood to travel that far at this moment. REALLY!! Dad asked me, why dont you follow them? then i told the him exactly what i wrote here. Then Dad said, hmm..then CNY u have enough money to spent in UK or not?? haha..am so shocked listening to that question..haha...of coz i replied 'yea, coz i dont spend much here. and moreover, i have nothing to spent here, i got nothing to buy'. Then mom said, ' but u are visiting Pui Leng next week right?'. then Dad said he will bank in some money for me to spent in Glasgow during CNY...hohoho...so happy to hear that.
Now am planning on what to do this few days alone at home. Anyway, i will start my design work and will make some changes to it. Then, maybe read some books and try on new recipe..haha. Oh yea, i wanna buy an Iphone. Of coz i hope Dad will provide me some money to buy the phone..haha...

Talking bout love, nothing can beat 'family love' for sure. Away for home for 4 months time; and yes, i am terribly home sick. i missed my family so much. haha.. after i am in Scotland, i only realized that every person in my family member ( including aunts, uncles, and cousins) do care for me a lot. Thanks for their love and support.
Yea, last months was the Christmas season. i received few Christmas cards from Malaysia. I am so happy to have the cards and i appreciate them so much. 2 cards from my family members, 1 from Jong Kit Architect, and one from my neighbour, Mr & Mrs Yallop. And just yesterday before going to work, i saw a pink envelope on the floor. i knew it was mine...haha..and yes..when i picked up, i saw my name on it. and its from my cousin sis family. Its a Chinese New Year card. And yea, this is the first CNY card i received in UK. Inside this CNY card, included a red packet for me ( from my aunt). Thanks u all so much.

Texas Hold em

haha..texas hold em is quite a fun game to play with. When u have nothing to do, try it out. Now at this hour am waiting for TVB movie to be out. Got nothing much to do this few days; hoping winston will organise some activities for us...haha...
TC, Adol and JB will be away on Sunday; which means i will be alone at home for a week. awww...alone...got nothing to do...dont know how to spend my time. so there will be another movie 'Home Alone 5'.
i wanna earn more money to get the things i want. haha..hoping shirlyn and moon will shift into our house; where TC and Adol will move into my room. Then 3 of us can share the £250 rental..lets pray pray pray they'll move into our house.
alright..movie is out now..its time to watch 'the gem of life' and 'off peddar'.

'Fa Diu' Chicken

hmm..just skyped with my family and i asked my mom to recall the recipe of her speciality 'Fa Diu' Chicken. Before i forgot, here's the recipe for 10 persons.
Recipe:
approx 8-9 chicken thigh ( cook with boil water for a while);
lots lots of ginger;
at least one rice bowl of oyster sauce;
some dark soy sauce;
sugar;
'Fa Diu' wine;
soy sauce
Mom said its simple. first, boil some water and place the chicken thigh in it for a few minutes. Then, stir fry lots lots lots of gingers. After that, bring in the chicken and continue stir frying it...haha...Then add in the oyester sauce, some dark soy sauce, some sugar and maybe a cap of 'Fa Diu' wine. Cover the pot and let it be for..umm..not sure how long...just few minutes. then add in the soy sauce slowly (dont put too much, taste the sauce first; only add soy sauce if neccessary). then finally only add a rice bowl of 'Fa Diu' wine into the chicken. the cook for another minute or so. then can be serve.
yea, i will try this recipe the coming week when my housemate travel to Spain. ok, gonna continue my movie now. and also preparing to sleep.

The Kite Runner

Been reading this book for about a week or two. Bought it a few days after Christmas; since Waterstone had some promotion saying '3 for 2' . Ok, so i bought 3 books for about £16. The Kite Runner written by Khaled Hosseini is quite interesting. It's a very nice fiction story; and this is the summary from the book itself:
' 1970s Afghanistan: Twelwe-year-old Amir is desperate to win the local kite- fighting tournament and his lotal friend Hassam promises to help him. But neither of the boys can foresee what will happen to Hassan that afternoon, an event that is to shatter their lives. After the Russians invade and the family is forced to flee to America, Amir realises that one day he must return to an Afghanistan under Taliban rule to find the one thing that his new world cannot grant him: redemption.'
-an event that shatter their lives-...yes, it really does. i am still in the middle part of this book. i highly reccommend people to read it. coz i like it...hahahaha..
hmm..went to univ to submit Advanced B.Tech today. the weather is rather colder than the days before. After that, we headed to ASDA to buy some groceries, then heading home to prepare our dinner. ah hah..i prepared pork vinegar for my housemate. yea..i think its delicious. but of coz it cant compared to my mom's recipe; but i am happy with the result..haha
nothing much to do these few days. Planned to go library tomorrow to look for some books for my design. then...maybe finish ' The Kite Runner' in this week? can i? hmm..will see..i am too lazy to read when i am at home. sitting in front of the laptop is what i do everyday. holding a book? nay...haha,..wondering when i read the book? i read it usually on fri and sat when i am heading to work(waiting for bus)..
ok..thats it. looking forward for my trip to Edinburgh with Leng and Cwei. then will celebrate CNY in Glasgow with them.

officially holiday now
ahhhh....everything is done...exam (checked), journal (checked)...and i'll announce my holiday start from this moment...10.50am, 12/01/2009...
got my journal reviewed today. and i got a pass for it...hmmm..at first i thought i'll fail for this sem...thanks to DVD and Neil...haha...and thanks to my fellow mates in Unit 1 (Edinburgh) for giving me a 'B' for the group project..
now...is to relax...do some research on 'caldross'...yea...i need double hardworking in order to pass next semester...i need some research on those stuff in order for me to proceed and progress on my love hotel.
just got my shower..now am so fresh...great..

Exam over, 1 more journal to go
hah...there goes the exam...been working so so hard for the exam...study study study...memorize memorize....and finally...hmm...over...haha...the exam supposingly start from 10am -1pm; but i came out the hall an hour after the exam start. luckily i managed to answer the 2 questions..haha...thanks to the study study study and memorizing memorizing and also memorizing..
oh...still gotta work on the journal..and that suck..hate it..gonna submit it on Monday. gotta prepare my lunch now...then start with my journal....arranging week's 1 to week 6 works into it...hmm..then gotta edit some of the design...must finish it before sunday noon...so i dont think i will sleep early tonight...at least finish arranging week 1 till week 3 works in it...then i can sleep...so tomorrow i only concentrate on the rest of the journal..

oh...still gotta work on the journal..and that suck..hate it..gonna submit it on Monday. gotta prepare my lunch now...then start with my journal....arranging week's 1 to week 6 works into it...hmm..then gotta edit some of the design...must finish it before sunday noon...so i dont think i will sleep early tonight...at least finish arranging week 1 till week 3 works in it...then i can sleep...so tomorrow i only concentrate on the rest of the journal..

A new year a new beginning

year 2009...
what a boring year to start with. of my gosh, i was celebrating my new year in a kitchen?? a kitchen?? yea. coz i was working. haihzz...wat to do...need money...need to survive in this Aberdeen; have to work. my lfe here is kinda bored. nothing much to do. everyday wake up, eat, laptop, movie,sleep..
worst of all i cant sleep these days...everyday, trying to sleep early...ended up...4-5 am only sleep...not i dun wanna sleep, its just...umm...cant fall asleep..damn....maybe got too stressed up..
actually now am preparing for my exam..gotta read few topics..then later on, have to do my journal..hmm..mentioning bout design, i got no mood. dont know why...just thinking of it feeling sucks....haha...dun wanna complain too much in the first blog. ok,...ciao.. wanna continue revision..
